SID-01161: After upgrade users and logins do not seem to match up
We are upgrading from 4.1 to the latest. I followed all the upgrade instructions but when I login it shows me as logged in as cmarzilli and not
ChrisMarzilli. In users I see my wiki name and login correctly listed
ChrisMarzilli - cmarzilli
When I click the account link in the top right hand corner it takes me to:
http://twiki2/twiki/bin/edit/Main/Cmarzilli?topicparent=Main.TWikiUsers;nowysiwyg=0
I would expect it to take me to:
http://twiki2/twiki/bin/view/Main/ChrisMarzilli
Since (I think) TWiki doesn't see me as
ChrisMarzilli but some other user "Cmarzilli" none of our security works meaning I can't actually edit anything.
This is happening for all users. Does anyone know whats going on?

Discussion and Answer
If you use the default TWiki internal password manager and user mapping manager, your Main.TWikiUsers topic has the data to map between login name and
WikiWord name. Make sure you migrate that topic over to the new installation. If you use an external authentication such as LDAP you need to configure TWiki/LDAP to map from login name to WikiName. See related
SID-01166.
