Hi,
I am tasked with migrating our Twiki from a windows box in the office to an alternative location.
It is currently hosted on a Windows box with about 24 Webs and 300 users.
I am quite new to the technology and was wondering what platform would be best to migrate it over to, Windows or Linux?
If I go for a Windows box, will it be a case of copy and paste? Also, if we choose to move it onto a Linux box, what things should I be aware of which could cause issues?
I thought that creating a new Twiki and copying over the webs may be a solution but what other issues would this bring up?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Discussion and Answer
I recommend running TWiki on Linux, it performs better than on a native Windows install. If your IT is mainly a Windows show I suggest you
DownloadTWikiVM - a Linux based VMware appliance you can easily deploy on Windows.
On data migration see

TWiki has now an easy
point & click solution to upgrade TWiki with the help of the
BackupRestorePlugin.
