I just successfully upgraded to Twiki 5.1. But I am not sure I understand what an
RCS file is all about. The upgrade documentation mentions this file(s) and I don't even know what it is for and what it does. Can someone help out here.

RCS files contain the history of a topic or attachment.
RCS files have an extension of
,v appended to the file. For example, the
RCS file of
twiki/data/Sandbox/WebStatistics.txt ir
twiki/data/Sandbox/WebStatistics.txt,v.
