SID-01352: Create groups in restricted Main web

Dear TWiki Support,

We want to restrict access to Main. Meanwhile, we want to allow users to create groups. I read the following paragraph on TWikiAccessControl:

"Note: If you restrict access to the Main, make sure to add the TWikiRegistrationAgent so that users can register. Example: Set ALLOWWEBCHANGE = TWikiAdminGroup, TWikiRegistrationAgent"

I wonder if there is a similar way for normal users to create groups without having ALLOWWEBCHANGE access in Main? Does TWiki have a "TWikiGroupRegistrationAgent"?

I am sorry, there is no such setting. There is no currently way to lock down the Main web but allow the creation of group topics. You'd need to create a custom script or plugin.
