Hi,
I have the following problem: at my job we once had a Twiki page linked to the website we have. Unfortunately, there were some problems and we weren't able to access the Twiki anymore. Now we would like to rebuild it, and that is my job right now. However, I have a problem. I simply cannot get the twiki up on that page. I enter the IP address under the virtual host, as well as the
ServerName and
ServerAlias, but there still is an error message in my browser saying there was a problem loading the page instead of something more useful. I reloaded apache every time I changed something in the twiki config file, but nothing really works. I think it might be because apache does not use that configuration file or something like that, but I cannot figure out how to change that. Maybe the problem is also that the website that is still running was created on a different computer, which is somewhere at my workplace, but which computer it exactly is and if I can access that computer, I would have to find out. Is there any way that I can install a Twiki and connect it to that website? Or would the only way be to create it on a new web page for the Twiki and create a link on the old web page pointing to that new one?
Thank you.

Discussion and Answer
Hello,
Check
SettingFileAccessRightsLinuxUnix
Then go to
http://yourtwikisite/bin/configure
an look for errors, warning, check paths, etc.
If admin password is lost delete the password line in /twiki/lib/LocalSite.cfg.
If you can access configure script check the twiki config file, the section where configure is secured, comment the lines Requiere user and Allow from (some ip address)
