SID-01567: Header art

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.1.1 Perl version: 5.14.2-6ubuntu2.1
Category: PatternSkin Server OS: Ubuntu 12.04 Last update: 13 years ago

I can't seem to get the header art to change.

I've tried using:

  • Set WEBHEADERART = newfile.gif
And I've even removed the file:

/p/pub/TWiki06x01/PatternSkin/TWiki_header.gif

But neither changes the header at all. I copied the gif file to a local machine and looked at it, and its not the same image as is appearing in my header. The one actually in the PatternSkin directory shows some rolled up papers, but the one I see in the header has a kind of network-y looking image with dots connected by a spidery web of lines. Where is that image coming from? How do I change it?

Discussion and Answer

The default skin is now the TopMenuSkin, which has it's own header. If you want you can activate the PatternSkin with a SKIN = tagme, pattern setting in your Main.TWikiPreferences.

The header background image of the TopMenuSkin is embedded in the TWiki.TopMenuSkinTopBar topic.

Thanks Peter.

I wish I had been able to find this on my own.
