SID-01570: Access Precedence over Web and Topic levels

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.1.0 Perl version: 5.8.1
Category: CategoryAccessControl Server OS: RedHat Last update: 13 years ago

Hi,

Can some one provide precedence for the below access restrictions.

Web Level : AllowWebView = XYZ Allo WebChange = Admin

Topic Level : AllowTopicChange = XYZ

Basically I want to provide read permissions to all pages in a web (having almost 100 topics) and want to give write permissions only to one Topic.

Regards, Srinivas

Discussion and Answer

Define a ALLOWWEBCHANGE in the WebPreferences to restrict access to one group.

Then add a ALLOWTOPICCHANGE to your open topic to a different group.

means,

WebPreferences :

ALLOWWEBVIEW = ALL

Topic :

ALLOWTOPICCHANGE = ALL
