After upgrading manually from 4 to the latest version, tables of contents are puncuated by down arrows through the first letter of each TOC topic.
Tiny question marks surrounded by black borders appear sporadically.
The "create new tags" + "view all tags" buttons are not clickable, and are "covered up" by the main twiki "home" link.
I have pictures of all of these issues but see no place to upload them.

- TOC arrows: Style sheet issue. Shift-reload a page to reload the css. If you still have the issue you have likely an upgrade issue mixing old and new style sheets.
- Question marks: Issue with character encoding. Compare the old and new
lib/LocalSite.cfg
- Can't click on tag links: Your logo is too tall. Make sure the logo is less than 60 pixel tall. Check your Main.TWikiPreferences settings.

Thanks Peter.
1. I changed the logo to a tiny one: still can't click on the "tag" buttons and there's a blemish over one of them that is very odd.
2. Any advice on how to resolve style sheet confusion?
3. I have compared the
LocalSite.cfg files (a previous administrator hacked together an old version of the TWiki and it's sort of a mess) but am not sure which variable might be important. Can you offer any more insight?
Thanks again.

Did you do a fresh install or install over an existing TWiki? I do not recommend installing over an existing TWiki installation because old and new system files cannot coexist.
Try to disable all plugin that are not shipped with TWiki to see if a plugin interferes.
Your browser might cache old style sheets. Shift-reload a page to reload all style sheets and javascript files.

re: tag buttons:
No, I installed a new TWiki and followed the manual upgrade instructions. Copied the topics over with an rsync -a from relevant directories and they showed up formatted in this fashion.

Did you exclude the TWiki web directories in twiki/data and twiki/pub?
--

I don't think I excluded pub, no. Could that be the source of some of these issues?

Fixed! I overwrote the /twiki/pub/TWiki directory with a fresh one from the tarball and all issues resolved. Thanks!
