Hi all,
I've got zero experience with web apps, servers, etc., but need to set up an intranet wiki/knowledgebase. This will be hosted on my computer, and accessible to other users within my organisation via LAN.
So far, I've used IIS to set up my computer as a web server. I've got xampp running, and have copied the TWiki files to a 'wiki' folder (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wiki).
I can see the "Welcome to TWiki" page when I browse to the folder, but can't get any further.
If anyone is prepared to help walk me through what I need to do from here, it would be greatly appreciated.
Apologies and thanks in advance, in equal measure!

Discussion and Answer
Installation on Windows natively using IIS is possible, however I do not recommend it for two reasons:
- Performance - TWiki runs faster on Linux/Apache
- Complexity to install
If you want to do a native install on Windows follow one of the Windows specific instructions, see
InstallingTWiki.
I recommend running the TWiki Virtual Machine in VMware on Windows. This is the easiest/fasted way to get TWiki running on Windows. See
DownloadTWikiVM.
