SID-01881: Good Hosting Site Recommendations

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 6.0.0 Perl version:
Category: CategoryHosting Server OS: Last update: 12 years ago

I have a client who is running a TWiki instance on a web hosting site. The site has a reasonable UI for back-end work and does allow shell access, but it's clumsy. Also, hosted sites are treated as "users" . Their content is run out of ~/public_html and Apache configuration is handled in multiple .htaccess files splattered throughout the directory tree. Backend "support" is... minimal.

It would be nice to find a better hosting site, preferably one where each virtual host is built in its own VM. Ideally one that has experience hosting something like TWiki.

I know of at least one of those (Dreamhosts). Any others to recommend?
