Hi,
I am tweaking a twiki 6 upgrade. One problem is the height of my logo. My logo is a little taller than the allocated area. I have tried to change the height of the top bar by following the instructions on-line here:
http://twiki.org/cgi-bin/view/TWiki/PatternSkinCustomization
but I must be missing something.
I created a file in the twiki/templates directory named view.myskin.tmpl and it looks like this:
%TMPL:INCLUDE{"view"}%
%TMPL:DEF{"topbardimensions"}%
#patternTopBar,
#patternClearHeaderCenter,
#patternClearHeaderLeft,
#patternClearHeaderRight,
#patternTopBarContentsOuter,
#patternTopBarContents {
height:104px; /* top bar height; make room for header columns */
overflow:hidden;
}%TMPL:END%
When I test it with?cover=myskin on the URL, the space at the top of the page looks right, but the logo ends up at the bottom of the page in both IE and firefox and the drop down menus on the top disappear in IE!
Sorry...I am totally confused on the whole template thing. Does a customized skin overrule the default templates?
Thanks!
Julia

Discussion and Answer
Look into the
twiki/templates/view.topmenu.tmpl skin template file of the
TopMenuSkin. Clone it for your own skin, remove all CSS except for the ones that have
height: 80px;, fix to the height you need, and prefix your skin in the SKIN preferences setting.
