SID-02002: Need help constructing a search

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.2.4 Perl version:
Category: CategorySearch Server OS: Last update: 11 years ago

I would like to know if it is possible to create a search script that looks for the first instance of a given text/topic/url in previous versions of the same topic and returns the following:

  • Version #
  • Date
  • User name

Any pointers that you could give me would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi Peter,

I do know and use REVINFO, but for my current project I need to track down when certain items were first introduced in a topic that has +250 revisions. Is there some sort of a nested search that I set up that searches for a constant (for example "Request 5") and returns the revision number, date and user name of the revisionist?

Thanks

No, it is currently not possible to search in older topic revisions. This would require creating a new plugin. TWikiConsultants can help out if desired.
