SID-02005: Migrated users cannot login to new installation

Hi, I used the backup and restore plugin to migrate some Twiki webs from a 4.3.2 Windows-based server to the latest version of TwikiVM.

I can see that all of the users got migrated, however none of the users can actually login. I also can't seem to add the users to any groups, even if I * SET GROUP = properly, the username does not show up as a member of the group.

Maybe I'm missing something simple here....any help would be appreciated.

figured it out. I copied the .htpasswd file from the old box to the new one and logins are now working again.

Yes, that's it.

The user profile pages enhanced a lot since TWiki-4.x. Consider re-registering your users. You'd need to restore the Main web from the TWiki-6.0.1 package.
