Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 6.0.1 Perl version: 5.10.1
Category: CategoryPlugins Server OS: Debian 6.0.10 Last update: 10 years ago

Hi, I've installed Wysiwyg plugin, I've changed ownership to www-data.www-data for whole /var/www/twiki, I've installed all required perl modules for Wysiwyg and it was working properly. I had to reboot my server and after that Wysiwyg does not work anymore.

any ideas?

Discussion and Answer

update: when I go to "Create personal sidebar" then Wysiwyg is available, but sitll missing on rest of pages. It is a migration from 4.2.3 to 6.0.1

Does the WYSIWYG button at the bottom of the page show up? If so and you click on it, is WYSIWYG working? If so, fix the settings in the user profile pages - compare to TWiki.NewUserTemplate.

In any case it looks like an upgrade issue. You do not need to install the WYSIWYG editor, it is pre-installed. On upgrade make sure not to mix old and new twiki/bin, twiki/lib, twiki/locale, twiki/data/TWiki and twiki/pub/TWiki.

Yes! thanks WYSIWYG button is available at the bottom of each page and seems to be working properly, my fault! I was expecting WYSIWYG editor when I go to Edit button by default.

One more question: After TWiki upgrade, Tags pop down menu list is missing. how to revert it?

WYSIWYG issue: Fix the settings in the user profile pages - compare to TWiki.NewUserTemplate.

Tag issue: This is a missing SKIN setting. Check the installation instructions at TagMePlugin.
