SID-02496: GPL License

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 6.1.0 Perl version:
Category: CategoryInstallation Server OS: Last update: 3 years ago

Hi, We would like to integrate your solution into our application. Since your solution has the GPL license, then it automatically means that our solution needs to be licensed as GPL, which is something we don't want to do. Is there any way to obtain your solution under a different license? Maybe there is some commercial license that will not oblige us to use GPL?

Discussion and Answer

Sorry, we can't provide TWiki under a different license. Unlike the GNU tools, and like Linux, TWiki has many copyright holders. Which means, we'd need to get the ok from every copyright holder if we want to offer dual licensing.
