Question

My recollection is that Search ignores access control when viewing pages, so the results include pages that may not, actually, be viewable.

But I can't find a page that says this.

Am I misremembering? Or is it just that I can't find the page?

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

That was the case for very early TWiki releases. Not sure which one, but since around TWikiRelease01Feb2003 (Beijing release), TWiki is handling permissions in a SEARCH properly.
