Question

I am trying to install twiki on windows,but have not yet succeeded.i have followed all the steps in the guide exactly,but still when i type the url of testenv to check my install ,nothing comes up,also there is no testenv file in the Twiki bin folder.I have no clue now as to what has gone wrong,but this thing has taken a lot of time now.can anyone please help me with this install ?

What installation guide did you follow? testenv is no longer a part of TWiki. On Windows XP, you should follow the IndigoPerlCookbook

i was using the windowsinstallcookbook initially, but i started with idigoperlcookbook too yesterday.But using this guide too,i could work all the steps till the install of ipm algorithm::diff;when i install it i get error saying not found.then if i leave that part n type url for configure i dont get any thing.i was unable to get twiki even using idigoperlcookbook.what shoudl i do now ?

I have the same problem: C:\wamp\www\TWiki\bin>ipm install Algorith::Diff

Installing Algorith::Diff Module Algorith::Diff not found DONE

But here's the thing, I'm not using IndigoPerl, I'm using ActivePerl. Would that make a difference? I'm going to restart from scratch and try everything again with IndigoPerl

I can not really help you with your windows installation problem, but this is also running on windows: TWikiVMDebianStable Most of the setup time was the VMware download. Could be an option, if you want to have a TWiki quickly.

I have the same question. I can access the URL:http://localhost/twiki/bin/configure, but I can not execute the following command: D:\twiki\bin>ipm install Algorithm::Diff Installing Algorithm::Diff Module Algorithm::Diff not found DONE

D:\twiki\bin>ipm install CGI:Session Installing CGI:Session Module CGI:Session not found DONE

D:\twiki\bin>ipm install Error Installing Error Module Error not found DONE

D:\twiki\bin> Does anyone know the problem?Thanks

With the ipm install of Algorithm::Diff Module, the server needs to be able to get straight to the internet, without having to go through a firewall. So change your server settings, and it should work.
