Question
My organisation has been using TWiki for about 4 months now and I have just started to notice an issue in the last 7 days when attempting to save topics. The behaivour of which I will describe below:
I want to make a simply change to an existing topic, I click edit, I make a speling correction and I click save - the change has not been effective. No error, just an exit from the edit view and a return to the topic in the web browser
On the same topic that is having issues, when I re-click on edit and I attempt to change to the raw edit view, it won't allow me to do so. I am stuck in the WSIWYG editor. Again, no error.
I checked the underlying topic txt file and any changes I have made and attempted to save have not been made on the file system, yet the topic's revision number has been increased.
I checked the chmod permissions on the troubled topic txt file and it is identical to other topics that are allowing changes to be made. Group and user ownership is also the same.
I checked the log and warn log files, but there is no mention of any errors or permission problems.
This is very concerning as the importance of our WIKI is growing and it needs to have integrity when saving topic data. Has anyone else seen such behaviour before or could suggest other avenues of investigation I could try?
Thanks.
