Question

I was wondering if there is a better way of uploading files onto TWiki for everyone to see besides doing a whole bunch of file attachments. I am trying to make a lot of documentation available for project participants and they will need a place to submit, store, and share their project documents.

Environment

TWiki version: unspecified
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS:
Web server:
Perl version:
Client OS:
Web Browser:
Categories: Documentation

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Would it help if attaching the documents was easier?

  1. First create a ZIP archive with a set of files, then with BatchUploadPlugin installed, upon upload it is unzipped and the files are listed as separate attachments.
  2. Alternatively, with automatic attachments enabled, just drop the files into the corresponding /pub/WEB/TOPIC/ directory and they'll appear in the attachment list, "although at the cost of losing audit trail and version control". You could provide access to the directory with FTP, or Windows share, etc.

Thank you very much. This is exactly what I wanted to do.
