Question

Hi there,

Our external users access our Twiki via a portal server (iPlanet portal server 3). This gives them access to various internal websites incl the twiki, via a secure portal.

Thus users access the twiki via a URL that looks like this:

https://portal.abc.com/http://twiki_host/twiki/bin/view

All works fine. However we've discovered an issue with editing GnuSkin pages - when you click on the save/preview/cancel buttons, the URL is rewritten to

http://twiki_host/twiki/bin/view

i.e. the "https://portal.abc.com" part of the URL disappears. And because the twiki is an internal URL, the external users now get a DNS error.

Any ideas what what may be causing this issue? It doesn't seem to occur with the default skin.

Environment
