Question

Hi, i have installed twiki using the indigoperl cookbook, everything seems to work fine.

Registering users works and creating and editting topics also doesn't cause errors.

But 1 thing i cant seem to get fixed is the userlist.

All users are listed in the TwikiUsers as John Smith - John Smith. But the Link UserList, UserListByDateJoined, UserListByLocation, UserListByPhotograph Are empty.

When i edit them they look like search commands but for some reason it doesn't work.

Im using RCS Lite and i have installed Grep. I have disabled all email traffic and am using Twiki Client Template login with Twiki Users HTPasswdUser. I have only 2 warnings in the configure screen about the mailserver not being set, but that shouldn't be the problem.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x01x02
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Windows XP SP2
Web server: Apache that came with Indigo (latest)
Perl version: Perl that came with Indigo (latest)
Client OS: Windows XP SP2
Web Browser: Internet Explorer
Categories: Registration, Forms, Search, Statistics

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

I would guess that your grep isn't actually working; the chances are good it's due either to permissions, or to spaces in the pathname to the command, or something like that.

Enable TRACE in the Sandbox module to see what commands TWiki issues. Read the apache logs to see what errors might have been raised.

You're right, Grep wasn't working correctly.

Problem is that some system settings seem to be pushed by the server, i found that the Path in System Variables keeps getting reset to default. and proberly there is more being reset cause now it doesn't work at all, Apache wont start (havn't tried to find out the exact error yet). Well, atleast Grep is working for now smile

Im gonna have to find a way to work around this problem, maybe the VMPlayer can help me out here.

Tnx for your reply.
