Question

Hi there,

I am trying track and monitor changes to my installation of TWiki through RSS feeds, the WebChanges topic and through the email notifications.

However, the RSS feeds (while registered successfully in my browser) are not indicating what topics have been modified. Likewise when I go to look at the 50 recent changes in the WebChanges topic for my web. In both cases they are indicating zero topic changes. What can I check to see what could be causing this? What dependencies does these areas of functionality need in order to work correctly?

I used an older version of TWiki (4.1 I suspect) and both of these features worked fine without any explicit configuration.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x02x00
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Linux
Web server: Apache
Perl version: 5.8
Client OS: Windows XP
Web Browser: FireFox 3.0

I thought WebChanges just used the regular search functionality. Maybe it's a broader problem. Is this a new installation? If so, are your topic searches working properly?

My egrep and fgrep were not configured properly so it affected RSS, web search, notifications and recent changes.
