Question
Let me apologize in advance. I have seen two other questions somewhat related to my issue however, I'm still stuck. I tried to follow the instructions in
PatternSkinCustomization. I am trying to change the logo in one of my Webs.
In the Web Preferences topic I first attach my new logo gif file (my_new_logo.gif) in the attachment section.
I now edit the Web Preferences topic. I've added/changed the following:
* Set WEBLOGONAME = my_new_logo.gif
* Set WEBLOGOIMG = %ATTACHURL%/my_new_logo.gif
I do not see the new logo appear in the top left corner of my Web. It's just a blank box. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

It's still not working. Just to be sure I understand...these setting discussed in the topic you provided can be setup in the Web Preferences topic instead of the
TWikiPreferences topic, right?
I'm not sure if my logo has the exact measurements required. It is pretty small. I'll check into this if you believe this might be the cause. Thanks again for the help!

Peer into the generated html to see which image url comes out. Copy paste that url in a browser to see if that is a valid address.

I found the image url. It is:
http://xxxxxxxx-xxxx/twiki/pub/Projects/WebPreferences/my_new_logo.gif
As you can tell I created a new Web simply called Projects. When I open up a new browser and paste the image URL into the address the browser does successfully show my new logo. Do you think it has to do with the size of my image?

My logo originally wouldn't appear because the height was more than the height of the header bar. Try experimenting with the dimensions of your image; make h < 64px, and see if it works.

Or if you want to keep your image the same size, go to your templates directory and open
viewtopbar.pattern.tmpl. Change overflow to 'visible'; you can also modify the height of the header/top bar in this section, too.
%TMPL:DEF{"topbardimensions"}%#patternTopBar,
#patternClearHeaderCenter,
#patternClearHeaderLeft,
#patternClearHeaderRight,
#patternTopBarContentsOuter,
#patternTopBarContents {
height:64px; /* top bar height; make room for header columns */
overflow:visible;
}%TMPL:END%

I'm still struggling with this. At this point I think it's something I'm doing wrong. I currently have TWiki installed on a Windows box and I'm going to change this to a Linux box. I get some "weird" behavior in other areas and I think Linux is probably the preferred OS to install on. I'll let you know how it turns out when installed on Linux. Thank you everyone for all your help! I appreciate it!

Thank you everyone for your help on my issue. I was able to finally get this to work for me and I wanted to let everyone know. Below is what I added to the TWikiPreferences
* Image, URL and alternate tooltip text of web's logo.
* Set WEBLOGOIMG = http://xxxxxxxxx/twiki/pub/Main/TeamLogos/my_new_logo.gif
* Set WEBLOGOURL = http://xxxxxxxxx/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome
* Set WEBLOGOALT = Home
I ended up creating a new topic called TeamLogos and attaching/adding my logo there. In the TeamLogos topic I right clicked on the attachment and selected properties. From there I got the specific URL for the logo and harded coded the URL in the TWikiPreferences topic for the WEBLOGOIMG setting. Everything worked great then. Thanks again!
