Question

Hello again! Quick question: why is the Main web full of data? I would have thought it should be completely empty, ready for my subject matter. Is it sensible also to keep the users in a separate web rather than in Main? (maybe called SiteConfig or maybe in the TWiki web).

Thanks, Martin.

Answer

The TWiki package has only a few topics in the Main web. By default it is intended to contain all users, groups and offices; plus all the Web* topics. This makes sense for the corporate world where each project has it's own TWiki web. and all projects share the Main web. It does not apply so much for public TWiki sites like at SourceForge.

The Main of this TWiki installation is full of data, mainly by people who experiment there (vs. in the Test web)
