E-MAIL ADDRESS BOOK BACKUP
How you make a
backup of your e-mail addresses really depends on which e-mail program and ISP you use. For those using Netscape Communicator or Internet Outlook Express or Eudora, this function is actually called "exporting" and is found under the "file" function on the menu toolbar. You are actually making a
backup copy of this information. You answer the prompts where you want this
backup file stored and the name of this
backup ("export") file.
If you are using any other e-mail programs, try using your help function to find out how to make a
backup of your e-mail addresses. You can also ask your ISP how to do this as well.
This is very useful especially if you are changing ISP's or changing computer systems. As you continue to update these e-mail addresses, you should also remember to
backup these e-mail addresses on a regular basis.
