Motivation

There is currently no way to list attachments in a web. Sometimes it is useful to search for specific attachments, such as gif or xls files.

This feature adds a WebSearchAttachments to every web, complementing the existing WebSearch and WebSearchAdvanced topics.

WebSearchAttachments allows one to search for attachments by name, and narrow down by a topic filter.

Note that this does not search in attachments like the SearchEngineKinoSearchAddOn.

This feature uses the little known FormattedSearch $query() feature and some SpreadSheetPlugin functions to iterate over the attachments, once per topic.

Discussion

I consider this feature a "no-brainer" enhancement not requiring a feature proposal. I post it to raise the visibility, and to get feedback on change requests. The feature is already implemented.
