wow, that are already three times more people than on the

Yep, we notified many users. This is mainly a user meetup, complementing the
TWikiCommunitySummits. I will try to recruit new contributors. I'd like to see user meetup initiatives in other parts of the world!

PeterThoeny - 20 Nov 2007
Just a quick note on the first Silicon Valley TWiki User Meetup: It was a nice gathering, about 60 people showed up. Rod and I first gave a presentation. I showed some of the collaboration slides of the
wiki for workplace tutorial I gave at
WikiSym2007; Rod talked about the
Starfish and Spider concept and introduced
TWIKI.NET. Then we asked participants to tell their TWiki story. People of Yahoo, Motorola, as well as startups/consultants showed what they do with TWiki. First prize went to
VickiBrown of Yahoo who showed
TWikiForms based
TWikiApplications, second prize went to
IanKluft who showed a
HowToMultipleTWikiSitesOnSingleInstallation, third prize went to Guy Martin who showed how they use TWiki at Motorola. We had lots of fun, networking, pizza, beer and wine. Let's repeat that!

We will have a live broadcast for the 2008-05-16 meetup, see streaming video above.

Apparently there was some technical difficulties on the live broadcasting, it did not happen! The video will be made available.

Thanks all who attended the TWiki User Meetup in San Francisco yesterday, good energy!

PeterThoeny - 2009-11-05
The venue is now decided: We will meet at Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley at NASA Ames in Mountain View, CA.
I had an idea and ask the security chief at NASA Ames I know to give us a private tour of NASA Ames Research Center before the meetup. They have the biggest & fastest wind tunnels. Unfortunately it was too short notice, they need to run a background on each participant and that takes time.
