General

In general, Internet Explorer (on Macintosh) works fine with TWiki except for some issues in specific versions, and generic issues which apply to all browsers -- see BrowserIssues.

IE 5.1

Selected Features

• Mac IE5.1 does have the password-remembering feature mentioned in IeWinBrowserIssues.

• Ability to easily add sidebars. See MacIESidebar.

Problems

• It appears that the Mac IE5.1 has a 32K limit on editing text which means that it will not load the entire text of a topic for editing if the topic is larger than this limit. See EditNotLoadingEntireTopic.

• I have not been able to get JavascriptBasedEditor to work on Mac IE 5.1 or 5.2., using MacOS 10.1.5. I believe it's a general problem with Mac OSX and java. -- LynnwoodBrown - 15 Jul 2002
