My TWiki site uses TWiki 5.0. I hate to upgrade to the latest version of TWiki because I am concerned about compatibility issues and difficulty with the upgrade. But I recently discovered that when I am using Windows7 and Internet Explorer, I can't use the edit button on my TWiki Web site to make changes to any Web/topic in admin mode. The mouse won't do operate in edit mode in TWiki. I have to use raw edit. When I am on a system with Windows XP (yes, I know its ancient) and the latest Internet Explorer, I have no problem with the edit button. Is this a problem with TWiki 5.0 and must I upgrade to the latest Twiki?

Discussion and Answer
Just want to clarify the last message. When I go into edit mode to make changes, the left mouse button does not move the cursor to the edit window. In fact it does nothing. You need to use the right mouse button to move the cursor into the edit window and highlight word(s) you want to change. I don't have this problem in Windows XP and Internet Explorer when I want to edit a topic or web page in my TWiki running on a host server. Both mouse buttons work. Has anyone experienced this bug? I don't want to raise it as a bug if I misunderstand something. But I have verified this problem on a number of comuters running Windows 7.

This looks like a bug. Our
TinyMCE is a few versions back and needs to be updated. Could you file a bug at
TWikibug:TinyMCEPlugin
?

I filed a bug report as you suggested for TWiki 5.1. But you should also know that I went into Sandbox on TWiki.org and the left mouse button does not work under edit mode when one is using browser IE or Firefox under Windows 7. I also upgraded my TWiki web site to the TWiki 5.1.4 and I still have the mouse problem. I then reinstalled the latest plugin for
TinyMCEPlugin 7 and and this did not fix the issue. I have checked bug with other computers running Windows while accessing my site and the problem persists. Only raw edit works in TWiki 5.1.0 - TWiki5.1.4. But the left mouse button is working as I am writing this support question.
