; Dee-Ann LeBlanc, viewed 2 Aug 2002 -- Four part article "This Does Not Have to Be Difficult" -- rather elementary, but gives a decent overview for a newbie, I think.
- Burning CDs on Linux
; "mkisofs and cdrecord at the command line make it all possible"; Carla Schroder; April 23, 2003 — "Linux offers powerful, flexible tools for creating CDs. You can create disks that are readable on almost any platform and create .iso files for download and distribution." — I would expect this to be a good article — haven't read it so far.

- (rhk) Re: OT: Burning a CD to be readable in Linux and Windows
; Jan Wilson; 06/25/2002 -- appears to include a complete set of instructions to make an image (using mkisofs) and then burn it (using cdrecord) -- mentions that "the Rock Ridge and Joliet extensions seem to do it for both Unix and MS".
