THE SUBJECT LINE
The subject is often what the recipient sees first in the
e-mail received from you, (together with the 'From:' address maybe), so you should put something meaningful in that line, probably summing up the message itself in a few words.
However, be careful of what you put in this subject line. Many viruses trick you into opening up an
e-mail by a clever subject line. Make sure that the person to whom you are sending the message - knows without a doubt, that it is from you.
The subject line is one of the ways
e-mail programs filter out unwanted
e-mails. Again if you are too general with your subject, your
e-mail may never be read.
