- (rhk) Creating a LIDESC_TAGS string
; Forrest J. Cavalier (sp?) -- interesting -- aside: for whatever reason, even thought this is an htm file, I could not copy the first two paragraphs by the normal cut and paste methods in Mozilla -- I viewed source and then was able to -- didn't notice anything obvious that caused the restriction (didn't look very hard) -- if I ever search for a license or want to expand a classification scheme, this looks like a worthwhile place to start -- I wonder if anyone is actually using these strings to classify licenses?
LIDESC license description files describe the characteristics of licenses using symbolic terms. The standard symbolic terms use by LIDESC are defined within the form below. Even though they depend on human interpretation, these symbolic terms are a more formal way of classifying and analyzing software licenses.

- (rhk) A Business Case Study of Open Source Software
; Carolyn A. Kenwood; July, 2001 -- long, pdf, started, but haven't read * (rhk) You Know That There’s a Definition of ‘Open Source’, Right?
; Steve Mallett; Jun. 9, 2002 -- not sure I agree with everything he says (meant to comment to him, haven't so far) -- one thing is minor, the idea that you have to distribute the source with the binary -- not sure if there is anything else I disagree with (would have to read again) -- some of his sentences are almost as convoluted as some of mine
