SwenDeleter is a Perl program to delete emails containing the Swen.A(?) virus from your email provider before downloading them.
Sounds like just what I need.

I'm also copying then summarizing the homepage here so I can open this on my (local) email server and install it — I'll remove everything that pertains to Windows (but note if you're reading this that SwenDeleter works in Linux, OS/2, and Windows (and maybe more??)).

Installation
Just unpack the selected SwenDeleter distribution in a directory of your choice and be sure the following requirements are alright:
Unix:
SwenDeleter requires Perl and Graham Barr's Net::POP3 Perl module,
which can be installed system-wide running the following command as
root:
# perl -MCPAN -e 'install Net::POP3'
or locally following the instructions you'll find in this FAQ:
$ perldoc -q 'my own module'
Usage of the source code version (system independent):
Interactive mode: perl swendeleter.pl -s server -l login -p password
Nonstop mode: perl swendeleter.pl -s server -l login -p password -n
