Thanks Flavio for sharing this code with the
TWikiCommunity!
I did some minor fixes to the contrib topic, please feel free to take this into the next release.
Suggestion: Add the
ColorPickerContrib.txt file to the package, and move the pub files from
pub/TWiki/ColorPicker to
pub/TWiki/ColorPickerContrib. That way it is all in one place, and the user has the doumentation at an installed site.

Would be good to use this to quickly adjust the colours of a twiki skin. The theme colours can be specified in a css file in a file that overrides the defaults.

Here is a GPLed color picker that is very intuitive:

. This looks similar to a color picker in a desktop application. As an idea, could this be put into a Javascript popup, thus replacing the current color picker?
Somtimes it is good to use web safe colors. As an idea, here is study of a combined color picker:

Its no longer necessary to use websafe colors, but a color subset can support users by restricting choice.

I did a complete rewrite of the color picker. The old color picker Javascript code is no longer maintained upstream. I am using a different color picker that is very intuitive and is based on jQuery:

To do:
- The color picker is currently shown inline. To preserve space when editing a TWiki Form, it would be bice to have a small edit button next to the input field that pops up the color picker (as the JSCalendarContrib does)
