Hello Johannes, I tested your plugin on Windows XP Home with

Browser Test result as displayed image Screnshot
Mozilla 1.2.1 As expected Mozilla121.png
Internet Explorer 5.5 The tools buttons of the Acrobat Reader, which is the screenshot of the IE plugin with the pdf-files' size but with the origin of pixel 0,0 of the subwindow of IE, whrere the plugin displays in. ie55.png

Thanks for the note. Silly IE...

I added a workaround. The plugin now checks the user agent and enlarges dimensions appropriately in the case of IE. Tested on Win98 and IE 6 only, though. I'm not sure how IE behaves on other platforms...

This is the result using the new Plugin in IE 5.5 on WinXP:

Generally it appears that using Acrobat to generate the image simply does not work.

Browser OS acrobat Screenshot
IE 6.0.2800.04060 Windows 2000 Acrobat 5.0.0
Mozilla 1.6 Linux RH7.3 2.4.18-27.7.x Acrobat Reader 5.0.5

There seem to be differences between how different versions of the acrobat reader plugin display themselves. Mozilla and Konqueror work fine for me with acrobat reader 4.0.

The best solution is probably to use the pre-rendering feature (using a png or jpg image of the PDF file) for viewing and include a text link to the pdf file for high-quality printouts. frown

Any test results for Acrobat Reader 6.0.1 ? We have the plugin installed but I get Acrobat Reader telling me that 'This operation is not allowed'.
