A place to discuss the MultiSearchAddon -- I'd like to request / suggest that it be added to twiki.org, and included on the search page, possibly modified to just do a Google search.

Dialog at Wearforge?

Vito and Ryan -- it sounds very nice, but when I try it at your site (http://wearforge.perilith.com/bin/view/TWiki/MultiSearch), I don't find the dialog anywhere (this with konqueror 2.2.1). The other URL (http://wearforge.perilith.com/bin/multisearch?type=Google&query=TWiki) works fine.

Is it not installed or am I looking in the wrong place?

Add to twiki.org

I'd like to register a vote for this plugin to be installed at twiki.org, and then the dialog included on the search page. (It would suit me if the search sites were limited to just Google.)

Sample search available on Wearforge

You can check out this page with a sample multisearch on it:

If you look at http://wearforge.perilith.com/bin/view/TWiki/MultiSearch you can see that we're using a newer version of the MultiSearchAddon, that allows selection of different query URLs and parameters based on the browser being used. This was added to work around a problem IE has with redirection to a URL that's password-protected. In the workaround, if the browser is IE (based on User-Agent) it gets routed to a page with a Javascript-based redirect, so IE can correctly handle the user:pass@url query. Everything else gets redirected normally.
