-
Peter: Ask CheDong if he can help out on internationalization
-
Carlo, Crawford: One page help doc TinyMCEQuickHelp
- draft done (by Kenneth) and included in the package
Status Update & Bug Review
- Heads-up Crawford has now used up all the client-funded hours that were enabling the rapid pace of improvements and bugfixes to WYSIWYG. Future fixes are likely to take significantly longer, as he has to focus on other client work.
- Pending requirements are:
- Test international character set support
- Internationalisation (plugging in alternative existing language packs to TinyMCE, based on setting of TWiki language)
- Minor feature enhancements
- Explore other plugins available from Sourceforge
- More testing!

Comments / Feedback
Hi Peter: I'd like to help translate
TinyMCE? and other new twiki language file into Chinese. Seem time is too late for me to join the irc. I'll check the meeting minute later.
Thanks

Hi all. In looking at othr wikis using TMCE as their editor, I stumbled on one of the only thread on Confluence forum having the word
WYSIWYG in it. It makes a very interesting read:
http://forums.atlassian.com/thread.jspa?messageID=257252741
What we can see:
- they have the same problems as everybody
- TMCE issues seems added newlines & tables
- unreliability in the WYSIWYG can bring a very negative feeling towards a whole system

Not good. And we will have similar usability issues, I expect; TMCE really isn;t very good on Safari, for example. However the investment required to fix these problems is significant, and until someone provides it - basically funds Moxicode, or someone else - to produce a better editor, we are stuck.
MichelBuffa has some interesting findings with the
DojoToolkit, but even there, it would take a week of solid effort just to determine if it can work with TWiki or not
