Week of 15 December 2002

• RandyPlessor expects to pick up 17 (or 27?) computer systems and has a converted bread (??) truck available to do so, but needs some help. At least one person volunteered at the LVLUG meeting last night (I'm not good with names). Don't know how much help he needs. Other volunteers:
  • 6:30 Wed (12/18): pick up 35 systems at University Center, Lehigh University (jab ... will attend)

After Christmas

• RandyPlessor wants to straighten up and organize the house in Allentown. Plenty of volunteers are required. Tentatively scheduled the saturday after Christmas, which is 28 Dec 2002. I don't think I'll be available. -- rhk Volunteers:

Other Ongoing Tasks

• DannWashko is setting up a mail list and TWiki for the project.
• DannWashko and LincFessenden are testing Linux distros -- have made a trial installation of Vector Linux and plan a trial of Peanut Linux.
  • DannWashko has setup a test workstation running Vector linux. Additional software has been added/compiled and tested also.
• PatrickDavila has started suggesting educational software -- we need more suggestions (I think) along with recommendations on the appropriate age group? See ProposedEducationalPrograms.
