BOOTABLE SYSTEM DISK BACKUP
There may be at time when you may have a corrupt portion on your hard drive, which just happens to be the boot sector that starts your computer. You should always have one or two bootable
backups (more commonly known as a startup disk) so that you are able to start your computer and take steps to fix it. This varies with the severity of the corruption on your system and may require you to probably talk to a computer repair shop or a help/support person. But you should always make a startup disk in any case.
You will need a floppy disk for this function. You can create this by clicking on the "My Computer" icon, then clicking on the "Control Panel" icon, and then clicking on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon. Click on the "startup tab" and then on "create disk" button. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
