I generally like Mandrake, but there are some reasons I might consider switching. (I don't know that any of these is enough to make me switch (except the first), but they are points I will and should consider.)

• Switch to a distro that is easier to upgrade "continuously" (like Debian or a Debian based distro like Knoppix)
• Mandrake does not automatically install Java or Flash in either konqueror or Mozilla
• Mandrake (9.0) did not install AbiWord by default *
