Somewhere I found instructions so that now, when I open a new URL from a page loaded in Mozilla, it opens in a new tab and in the background. I want to remember / find the two things I did and record them here.
Looking now -- aha, looks like:
- Edit -> Preferences -> Navigator -> Tabbed Browsing, then check:
- Load links in the background
- Middle-click or control-click of links in a Web page
- Control+enter in the Location bar
Once upon a time I tried using Mozilla as the default Web browser for opening links in emails (from kmail) -- it was unsatisfactory because it kept opening each new link in the same tab (might have been the last open tab). I want to try it again with these "new" settings and see if the behavior is any better.
To do that (try it again), see
KdeChangeTheFileAssociations, and, under text, change the association for HTML files from konqueror to Mozilla.
