urpmi is Mandrake's extended version of
RPM (user rpm). urpmi is for installing packages, urpme is for removing packages. It is supposedly somewhat like Debians apt-get in that it supposedly recognizes all dependencies and obtains all necessary package dependencies from the net or a local CD. (Not sure how that works in Debian, but I plan to find out as I now have a test installation of Debian (installed Knoppix to a hard drive).
