I had to update to the lastest TWiki release because the pattern skin became broken. I'm not sure why that occurred. At this point, the installation is fully upgraded from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4. Now, with FireFox 1.5.0.6 when attempting to do an Edit, the page comes up WITHOUT the TextBox control. With IE, it works correctly.
I imagine that this may be due to some mistake I made in the upgrading process, but I installed everything again and the hotfix but to no avail.
Additionally, it tends to crash Firefox repeatedly.
You can try it yourself by loading this page:
http://www.cognisys.com/TestOne_edit.htm
in both IE and Firefox. In IE it will load and show the EditInputBox. In Firefox, the inputbox is missing, and at least for me, about half the time it also crashes Firefox.
I would be happy if you can tell something stupid that I am doing so I can get past this.

If you answer a question - or have a question you asked answered by someone - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status is in a drop-down list below the edit box.
My guess is that a javascript error causes the area not to display. Could you check if you also have updated the latest
pub/TWiki/TWikiJavascripts/twiki.js ?
On Mac Firefox 1.5 it works alright though. Perhaps a caching problem? Try shift-refresh...

Not a caching problem. The
twiki.js file is the one from the
hotfix-4.0.4-2 set of files. I just replaced it again and it still has the same problem. I reinstalled firefox too. Please see the screen captures below to demonstrate the problem. That might supply a further hint as to where things are getting off track.
- Edit input box with firefox (showing the error condition):
- IE without the error:
I just noticed when loading this page in IE, the page initially shows the same as the error condition, then pops open the input box and the other buttons, etc. So, this seems to be a javascript related problem. I wonder if someone else can take a look at the test page to see how it looks for you in Windows Firefox.

Well, Firefox crashed several more times when I was trying to Edit the sample sandbox page. Now, it is working. I hate it when it is so flakey. It seems the latest version of Firefox is not as stabile as prior versions I've used.
