Hi,
I've been doing quite a bit of testing with Twiki, and found it works great when installed on a standalone machine. However have now created a new Twiki on a proper server (Windows server 2003) and get a really strange issue when editing topics...
It appears random text will get added, for example I have a topic which ONLY contains a TWiki word of "TWikiAdminUser", however when I edit, I get "Main.TWikiAdminUser%0D%0A" and don't understand where the %0D%0A has come from - It doesn't happen on my standalone test system!
Also if I edit a topic with more information than just one TWiki word, then the whole topic fills up with jargon such as "%21%21%20Welcome%20to%20the%20%...
It appears to be replacing spaces with %20%, and assume other punctuation with equiviliant text but have no idea why!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
James

I had once the same problem after upgrading
TinyMCEPlugin and
WysiwygPlugin. I solved that going to
configure, disabling and enabling both plugins. I also reset the persmission as in
SettingFileAccessRightsLinuxUnix.

Thanks a lot, I've tried these suggestions however unfortunately neither work.
When I disabled the WYSIWYG and
TinyMCEPlugin? though the text won't get corrupted, this of course is because it's using the raw editor, however turning back on will add the rogue text.
What I tried doing was adding the Kupu plugin to see if this edits correctly, however when I add via the extensions menu in configure, the plugin starts to download and install fine, however at the end I get an error message...

I've checked permissions which all appear to be correct though? Any ideas? I did reset the permissions as the

Thanks in advance,

Just to update on this, I decided to flatten the TWiki website (Was only a test install anyway) when I recreated, editing was fine.
I suspect the problem was caused by me trying to install Kupu whilst already having a WYSIWYG plugin installed.
Would be nice to know the cause for sure, but not to worry.

Hello. I have this exact problem with newest 4.2.3 on a fresh install on ubuntu 8.04/apache2/perl2 and XPSP3/FFox3. I tried the things above and still a problem. Raw Edit works fine.
