Question

Having issues with RCS as discussed in RCSNotWorkingWithModPerlAndLatestRelease so I tried enabling RCSLite and things are working again.

There was a note in the TWiki.cfg file about RCSLite not being ready for production use, but after searching TWiki.org it looks like things are ready to go, except for some thorough testing.

Is RCSLite pretty much ready to use in a production env?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease01Sep2004
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Windows 2003
Web server: Apache 1.3.31
Perl version: Activestate 5.6.1
Client OS: Windows 2003
Web Browser: IE 6

Answer

Yes it is ready, several RcsLite related bugs have been fixed in the previous production release. I removed the "not ready" comment from TWiki.cfg in the latest TWikiAlphaRelease.
