Question

I have noticed that searches are failing to find terms that are next to markup for italic text.

e.g.

_term1 term2 term3_

When searching on words from the above phrase, "term2" will locate the topic, but "term1" and "term3" will not. In fact, the search engine seems to interpret the underscores as part of the words, so a search for "_term1" or "term3_" will match the topic.

This also impacts bold italic markup, but not any other formatting markup that I have noticed. I am pretty sure this is not intended behavior..?

Probably not intended behavior. File a bug if inclined.
