Question

Earlier I posted a question about not being able to log out as a guest. Now I seem to have managed to log in as a guest when I should have logged in as my own wikiname, and I can't get out of it to log in as me. How can I log in as me when I am trapped into being a guest? This is very frustrating frown

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

It looks like you are using Apache Login with Basic Authentication. With this setup, the only way to logout is to restart your browser. This is because the browser remembers the login and sends the login/password behind trhe scene without user interaction.

Thanks. Is there any way you could add this to the basic beginner information for the benefit of future users?
