SID-01138: editing sections of a page

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 5.0.0 Perl version: 5.8.8
Category: CategoryEditing Server OS: Mac OSX 10.5.8 Last update: 15 years ago

Is there a way to allow users to edit portions of a page at a time? I've been using mediawiki for a while now. By default, with mediawiki, there is an edit button to the right of each level 2 heading. Clicking this, you only see the contents of that heading. This makes life much easier.

Discussion and Answer

TWiki has many Extensions:editing and some are for sectional editing. Unfortunately I have not found a solid extension that works reliably enough (with WYSIWYG editor, on latest TWiki5.0 relase etc). TWiki is an open source project, if you have a need you are invited to get involved or to fund an enhancement by hiring a TWiki consultant.
