Question

In the process of evaluating Twiki in our organistion, I was asked to set-up an application for our tier 4 group:

A case from a customer is assigned to one of the group members (including various case/customer details, such as case summary, customer OS, Case due date, Case owner in the T4 group etc..). Such case/assignment once created, might undergo certain updates during it's life cycle: its status could change (investigated, paused etc..), the group owner might be shifted, etc...

After doing some reading, I decided to go for the Bugs Contrib plugin rather than the Action Tracker plugin, as the latter seemed to me a bit more rigid in it's field definitions (I might be totally wrong here).

Installation was successful, and I have changed the fields settings and values to match those suitable to our needs. I am able to create new "bugs" (actually, they are more of an assignments really), and then view them in the WebChanges page.

What I do miss is flexibility in updating assignments.

I would have loved to be able to update various assignment properties not from the assignment topic itself, but from a certain dashboard - such dashboard might be the table in the WebChanges topic, where fields of a certain assignment might be directly updated without the need to juggle each time to the assignment topic itself.

Is there a way to achieve such feat? would the Action tracker plugin be more suitable for such a requirement?
