How found

Saw a baffling reference to Wiki in a post to the TECHWR-L list and did a google search

Impressions and suggestions

A great idea.

Entering a Wiki that has not been encountered before is very daunting as you have no idea what it might contain or what search words will yield the results you want. It would be good if you could have a frameset display with a table of Contents in the left pane that could be swapped with an Index, like online help.

Ideally, you should be able to view the Index pane while embedding index entries in the page to ensure that you are being consistent. You would also need some method of positioning the page in the table of Contents pane, both in the correct serial position and at the correct nesting level.

As I am programming-challenged and believe that Perl was a girl I once knew, I don't have the skills to create my own modified Wiki. Hope someone will get this hint. 8^)
